Privacy Policy
FocusShield is built to run locally on your device. We do not sell your data, and blocking rules stay in your browser unless you choose to export them.
Data we store on your device
The extension saves your settings in Chrome local storage, including blocked sites, focus timer preferences, statistics, schedules, and optional password protection. This information never leaves your browser except when you manually export a backup file.
What we do not collect
- We do not track the pages you browse for analytics or advertising.
- We do not upload your block lists to our servers.
- We do not require an account to use FocusShield.
Site blocking
When you visit a blocked site, FocusShield checks the URL against your local rules inside the extension. Blocking decisions are made on your device in real time.
Contact form
If you send us a message through the Contact page, your email and message are delivered through Formspree so we can reply. Only the details you submit in that form are transmitted.
Permissions
FocusShield requests browser permissions needed to block sites, show notifications, manage timers, and store settings. These permissions are used only for extension features described in the dashboard.
Your choices
- Export or delete your data anytime from Import / Export in the dashboard.
- Disable protection or uninstall the extension to stop all blocking.
- Reset statistics from Settings if you want to clear usage counters.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when new features are added. Continued use of the extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
